The Avalon Pro String Jig, made from aluminium, is a stronger version of the basic jig. The pro jig has been made even sturdier for those who are making a number of strings, and features an attachment that allows the maker to produce compound yokes easily. The jig also has a tension winder, which when used enables the archer to make strings accurately to the millimeter. The use of the winder is also used to pre-tension the string material when winding. this helps to stop the string from stretching once made and in use on the bow.
